Tree Planting

A seed contains nearly everything a tree needs to get growing. Just add a dash of water, a bit of warmth and the right location, and you'll be seeing green in no time. Trees are an integral part of our environment. For food, medicine, rain, wood and shelter from trees, plus they beautify the environment. We get the most needed rain because of the trees. They beautify our surroundings, purify our air, act as sound barriers, manufacture precious oxygen. Children with Nature has a goal to influence & partner with others to plant 1 million trees by end 2018. Forests provide:
  • Home for animals
  • Decrease Pollution
  • Revenue
  • Natural Resources
  • Wood for furniture
  • Bring Rainfall
  • Save from Natural Disasters
  • Holiday and Picnic Spots
  • Medicine

E-Waste Awareness &
Management

Electronic waste (e-waste) is one of the fastest-growing pollution problems worldwide given the presence if a variety of toxic substances which can contaminate the environment and threaten human health, if disposal protocols are not meticulously managed. We work closely with ewaste experts to establish the current trends, opportunity and challenges in the management of e-waste in Kenya, with a fous in homes, schools & universities. We create awareness in putting in measures to be taken to effectively manage or mitigate the effects of WEEE proliferation in Kenya.

The huge threat of e-waste to the environment was highlighted at a recent German Embassy Green Economy Cycle Waste Management workshop in Nairobi. The forum brought together government agencies, the private sector and other stakeholders to create awareness and showcase possibilities of ... A recent United Nations report found that 41 million tonnes of e-waste worth over £37 billion ($47 billion) was discarded globally in 2014 and only six million tonnes of that was recycled properly. It also notes that e-waste volumes rose 63 per cent over the past five years in Asia alone.

Plastic Pollution Awareness

In the course of history, there comes a time when humanity is called to shift to a new level of consciousness, to reach a higher moral ground. A time when we have to shed our fear & give hope to each other. That time is now...Prof Wangari Maathai.

Plastic pollution can unfavourably affect lands, waterways and oceans. Living organisms, particularly marine animals, can also be affected through entanglement, direct ingestion of plastic waste, or through exposure to chemicals within plastics that cause interruptions in biological functions. Slow, silent, omnipresent, ever increasing, more toxic than previously thought, the plastic pollution’s reality bears sobering consequences for humanity

Action on Clean Seas.

More than 11 billion pieces of plastic were lodged in the Asia-Pacific oceans corals, according to researchers from New York's Cornell University. The world has awakened to islands as large as 12.7 million metric tons.

A photographer Caroline Power has captured the damage being done to the planet's oceans with a shocking “sea of plastic and styrofoam” image taken near a tranquil Caribbean island. In reality, these patches are almost entirely made up of tiny bits of plastic, called microplastics. Microplastics can't always be seen by the naked eye.

One million seabirds are killed by marine litter every year. 100,000 turtles and marine mammals, such as dolphins, whales and seals, are killed by plastic marine litter every year around the world.

Mainstreaming Global
Sustainable Development Goals, SDGs

We aim in giving a hand to the following Sustainable Development Goals:

On September 25th 2015, countries adopted a set of goals to end poverty, protect the planet and ensure prosperity for all as part of a new sustainable development agenda. Each goal has specific targets to be achieved over the next 15 years. For the goals to be reached, everyone needs to do their part: governments, the private sector, civil society and NGOs like us. Work with us to make alive the SDGs in our communities. Our vision & mission are enshrined in all the 17 SDGs.

Environmental Awareness in
Schools Across Africa.

I have always loved nature since I was a little girl. My inspiration is and continues to be my father who has over time transformed our farm into a green haven. My family and I have planted over 3,000 trees. My Junior school final year project was on climate change and its effects on the environment and the human population. My take home and life time resolve is to continue coloring our planet green, every tree counts.
